Blaine, MN - Category 6 Racing Squad ruined a beautiful Thursday night by attempting to pursue the LGR team in a 4 man 4000m Team pursuit at the NSC Velodrome. 3 of the 4 team members actually arrived in time before the event to practice the exchanges need to be made in this quasi relay race.
The Squad arrived in true Cat 6 style by debuting to the world the new and improved team kits. The Jersey can be yours by heading over to Twin Six and putting down the cash to look pro. After the initial runway show to unveil the new kits, several of the team members realized just how susceptable this new color is to their dirty dirty lifestyle. Here is T3 unfortunately adjusting his junk just after adjusting his greasy chain. Now we know and others won’t be making that mistake.

Fashion Show.

He really did leave a big greasy hand print all over his crotchel area.
The rest of the night went just as well. The team lined up for the 4000m team pursuit with the help of some of the fine folks from the Grand Performance Team. Very serious stuff

Tyler “Skidsey” Denniston mentally preparing.

Dan Wistrcil wishes he had decided to play guitar instead

Barry and T3 did not fall over at the start. This was in the Directeur Sportif’s game plan. The first mistake of the day.

More Tyler… fierce

The group.

And they’re off.

and they’re caught.
The Group rode with hard and only got passed once. A major success. The LGR team on the opposing side of the track had a failure with the lap counter and only rode 15 of the 16 laps. The Judges were nice enough to realize that Cat 6 was more interested in cookies than winning and pro-rated their time to show that they would have destroyed the Cat 6 Squad fair and square.
LGR = 5:02
Cat 6 = 5:33
Cat 6 = One giant box of cookies courtesy of Gloria the best cookie maker in local racing (Sorry Elena).

And of course, thanks to a speedy Pat, the rest of the night proved to just as unsuccessful for the Cat 6 Squad. Here’s Pat right before he actually broke the sound barrior.
