I don’t know! I don’t know! I don’t know!

A repeating “I don’t know!” echoed across the Minnesota State Fairgrounds at 8:45pm on Tuesday, 22-June-2010. Why?

Flander’s Adam Gorski went into the final turn sporting the orange Angry Catfish Leaderhosen, but it was Bike Throw Racing’s Don Schmeichel who was not intimidated by the intensity of the brightness of the socks. Pedals turning in anger, and at speeds around 60 kmh, it was too close to call for Tyler at the MC tent. The Official call was Don got Adam by the slightest of margins — too tight for even our chip timing.

Where does that leave us? Don and Adam are tied for the Mens 3,4 series championship at 50 points each. Because Don won the last race, he will be sporting the Angry Catfish Leaderhosen at the last race — Tuesday, 29-June-2010. This will be the first Tuesday in June there is no forecast for rain. It will be the first time racing the “T” course — a longer version of last year’s NVGP qualifier.

The Green Jackets have been acquired. Great Waters is providing the bombers of their hand-crafted world beer cup beer for winners to spray the crowd with. There are new first place prizes this week. There will be a man dressed in a Chicken suit.

…and another first for Category 6 Racing Squad — A Surf Ninja.

Pre-registration closes at Noon (Falcon Heights timezone). For more info, check out The State Fair Affair: bike nerds & cheese curds page.
