Race Competitions

Ninja Primes!
Can’t win a called prime at the local criterium? Neither can Cat6. Not wanting to miss out on the potential glorious crossing the Finish line first photo opportunity, for years, Cat6ers have been sprinting for the line on laps when it just doesn’t matter — the Ninja Prime. Now we’re race promoters, and everyone has an opportunity race Sixy. How do you win a Ninja Prime? Cross the finish line first. How do you know what laps Ninja Primes are called? You don’t. Only the MC and the Officials know. How do you know when you’ve won a Ninja Prime? The very loud sound of a guitar is your first indication, while the MC will let you know. It’s the essence of racing — be at the front, and win. What do you win? If you’re of age, a growler of locally brewed tasty goodness. If you’re too young to enjoy the fruits of our local brewmasters’ labors, we have gift certificates from our sponsoring bike shops.
Combined Fields Race Prizes.
Merchandise awards will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places across the finish line as the race Officials call it, for all combined fields — not separate categories. (except Juniors races, who will get medals). Prizes will be awarded in the following races on GC Series evenings: Women 3/4, Women Pro/1/2/3, Pro/1/2/3 Men, 4/5 Men, 3/4 Men.
On the ROY evening: Women 4, Women 1/2/3, Cat 1/2 & 35+ Men, 4/5 Men, Cat 3 & 50+ Men.
General Classification (GC) Series for Individuals
On GC Series evenings, we will be tracking the Total Time, minus Time bonus primes for determining the Series leaders. The following races will have an Individual GC competition: Women 3/4, Women Pro/1/2/3, Pro/1/2/3 Men, 4/5 Men, 3/4 Men
Mid-race Time Bonuses (sec): 5, 3, 1
Finish Time Bonuses: 15, 10, 7, 5, 3
30 min race = 2 primes + finish; 40 min race = 2 primes + finish; 50 min race = 3 primes + finish. NOTE: Subject to change due to weather or lighting conditions on the course
On the 12th and 26th races, leaders in the GC competition will be required to wear the Angry Catfish Leaderhosen, which will be provided to leaders at Registration
